The Mouse Hole Livestream Course

On this course we will create a miniature forest fairy tale with our own hands - a wonderful mouse in a cosy burrow, where it sleeps very sweetly.

This Mouse House Livestream Course is an exciting new online learning format. We will work together live and create a cute little mouse and her cosy sleeping hole using the wet felting technique. 

What is a livestream course?

It is as close as possible to a face-to-face workshop format, it involves working together during the broadcast and a lot of communication. I show you the process of creating mouse house and you work with me at the same time on your own ones. I answer all your questions via chat and help you cope with the work as efficiently as possible.

What do we do on a course?

On the course we will create a miniature forest fairy tale - a wonderful hole with a cosy sleeping place and its beautiful inhabitant - a tiny mouse. The mouse is a miniature sculpture, a figurine toy (height of the finished toy 9-10 cm. size of the hole 8x18x9 cm). 

This course has collected in itself practically the whole felting toolkit of the woollen miniaturist, sufficient for global construction: here we create both a cute mouse in the format of a figurine toy, and a three-dimensional interior object with volumed details, and a lot of tiny accessories. 

Toys should not be underestimated - they are complex three-dimensional sculptures on which you can learn a huge number of non-toy techniques and methods.

We use wet felting, needle felting, nuno felting and embroidery. We work with extra fine and coarse wool in different formats of 3D-felting, with fibres and textiles to create interesting textures.  And we explore all of this as we create a wonderful forest story with our own hands!

Nothing can go wrong here at all, you will always get something amazingly cute and warming to the soul - your soul will want to crawl into this house in the forest and curl up on a soft pillow. Personally, I felt like this all summer while I was setting up my mouse hole, and I confirm the therapeutic effect of this action.

How long is the course, will there be a recordings and is it suitable for beginners?

This course is a four-day course consisting of four lessons (3 hrs each). The course is ideal for beginners, but will also be of interest to experienced masters. I give very detailed instructions, so there is absolutely nothing to be afraid of. In addition, you will have a recording with unlimited access and my support.

Does it take much to get started?

The list of necessary materials and tools for this course is not big, everything can be easily found. I describe everything in great detail in the PDF file and introduction lesson that you receive right after payment, so that you have time to prepare before the course. 

The mouse in this course is a miniature figurine toy. To create felted miniatures, you don't need many materials and tools -  each toy weighs 7 grams only, and of the specific tools you need a ribbed antislipping mat from IKEA (or similar), as well as a needle felting needle. These tools must be prepared in advance, but the pleasure of felting is guaranteed! Believe me, I've been felting toys for 13 years, and still enjoy it.

Will I like it?

Such miniature toys are perfect pocket and table companions. Guaranteed to lift your spirits. And in the process of making them as well. Felting such toys is a complex art therapy - there is wool, hand work and wonderful heroes. It's all positive.

How does a stream course work?

After payment, you will get a personal account, which can be accessed by passing a quick registration form on the site.

The streaming of the stream course takes place in your personal account, the record of the course is also stored there.

Before the start of the livestream course, you will receive a reminder to your mail box specified during registration; you will only need to go to your personal account on the website using the password you created during registration.

After payment, you will as well receive a detailed list of what you need and a ready-made pattern for printing - you just need to transfer it to a plastic base and you can start creating a charming toy (it waits for you in your personal account). Please, check the spam folder in your mailbox, very ofter first emails end up there. 

After the broadcast you will get the full record of the livestream, so you can complete your work later, rewatch and make more toys. 

Livestream’s record will be stored in your account with unlimited access. 

When does the course start?

This course is sols as a full recording of livestream course, which was held online in October 2023.

The course is a four-day course with 4 lessons. 

The duration of each broadcast is 3 hours (can be less or more, depends on the speed of participants). 

How many toys are we making on the course?

During the broadcast we will make a finished work together - one miniature mouse figurine, mouse hole with mushroom and sleeping accessories (bed sheet, duvet cover, blanket, pillow, sleepers and night cap). I will show the process of creating from start to finish, and you work in parallel with me on your own project. During the course, I answer all your questions about the process in the chat and help you with work. After the course you can always ask me for support in the chat box next to the record’s screen or via email.

What gadgets can I watch the course on?

The stream course can be watched on a computer, tablets, and phones.
