In this live stream course, we will work together live and use the wet felting technique to create a charming miniature horse—the lucky mascot of the coming year.
What is a livestream course?
It is as close as possible to a face-to-face workshop format, it involves working together during the broadcast and a lot of communication. I show you the process of creating a miniature horse and you work with me at the same time on your own one. I answer all your questions via chat and help you cope with the work as efficiently as possible.
What do we do on a course?
In this two-day course, we will work with the technique of three-dimensional wet felting, but in miniature format. Our horse is a miniature solid sculpture (the finished toy is 11-12 cm tall and weighs 8 g).
Over two evenings, we will make a cute horse together and learn the process of working with miniature felt in general. We will look at the differences between figurine toy and a finger puppet, and learn all the tricks of the trade: pattern construction, material selection, needle and wet felting techniques, creating high-quality, strong and durable felt, styling the mane and creating horseshoes. We will work with readily available materials, but we will create a cozy and charming horse that is sure to bring good luck in the coming year.
How long is the course, will there be a recordings and is it suitable for beginners?
This course is a two-day course consisting of two evening lessons. The course is suitable for passionate beginners, but will also be of interest to experienced masters. I give very detailed instructions, so there is absolutely nothing to be afraid of. In addition, you will have a recording with unlimited access and my support.
Does it take much to get started?
The list of necessary materials and tools for this course is not so big, everything can be easily found. I describe everything in great detail in the PDF file and introduction lesson that you receive right after payment, so that you have time to prepare before the course.
The horse in this course is a miniature figurine toy. To create felted miniatures, you don't need many materials and tools - this horse weighs less than 10 grams, and of the specific tools you need a ribbed anti-slipping mat from IKEA (or similar), as well as a needle felting needle. These tools must be prepared in advance, but the pleasure of felting is guaranteed! Believe me, I've been felting toys for 16 years, and still deeply enjoy it.

Felting these characters is a gentle and complex form of art therapy: the warmth of wool, the calming rhythm of handwork, and the presence of charming little heroes all work together to bring joy and positive energy.
