An adorable baby orangutan captures everyone's heart at first sight. You want to hold him close to you and not let him go. And it's possible, as he can be hand made on an interesting and fun course!

Orangutan Hand Puppet Livestream Course is an exciting new online learning format. We'll be working together live on air!

It is as close as possible to a face-to-face workshop format, it involves working together during the broadcast and a lot of communication. I show you from beginning to end the process of creating charming baby orangutan puppet with cute tasty banana with magnet, and you work with me at the same time. I answer all your questions and help you cope with the work as efficiently as possible.

This course lasts for 2 weeks and the lessons will take place in the evenings - 4 lessons for 3 hours in total. In this way we will be able to distribute our many work tasks in the most efficient way so that we have enough energy to complete. I give very detailed instructions, so there is nothing to be afraid of even if you are newbie. And, of course, there will be recordings of the livestream with unlimited access.

The list of materials and tools needed for this course is short, everything can be quite easily found in shops, but there is one exception. To create the magical fluffy surface we will be working with an amazing material, mohair (Angora goat wool). I adore mohair, it brings animal toys to life incredibly, and for an orangutan it's just perfect. Mohair is not very difficult to source, but it does require dyeing. You have my free masterclass on simple dyeing materials using a rooster as an example. I also offer more affordable alternatives to mohair, so you won't be without materials.

The orangutan in this course is a bibabo, which means hand puppet in Russian. It's not too difficult to make, and it requires a small set of materials and tools, most of which can be found at home. Of course, you will have to buy wool and find mohair, and of the specific tools you need a ribbed mat from IKEA shop (or similar), as well as a felting needle. These tools and materials need to be prepared in advance, but the pleasure of felting is guaranteed! Believe me, I do animals for 12 years, and the pleasure has not diminished.

Hand puppets are unique characters for children's home theatre. Children love them and trust them. Therefore, these toys are very effectively involved in various educational projects. They are used by teachers, psychologists, ecologists, museum workers. This is a great gadget for communication with a child, a magic creative tool for play, learning and imagination development. But adults are not indifferent to them either, they make even very serious people smile. And I like the process of creation even more - it's like meditation, art therapy and flashback to childhood in one moment! Endless joy and positivity, created with your own hands.
