Wild Marathon 2024. Game 4. August.
In August, in the forth game of the #bibabowowildmarathon, we got the letter S (Russian C). Super letter!
Quick rules
Once a month, we randomly raffle a letter of the alphabet, to which you must choose from any of our planet's current fauna - from a bug to a whale - according to your tastes. Within a month you have to make a work inspired by this character and post it with the tag #bibabowildmarathon, adding a couple of interesting facts about this animal in the description of the work. Work in any format or technique as long as it's to your liking and suits your creative ideas.

What do we have in S?
The letter C gives you literally unlimited choices. The most obvious: seal, surikate (meerkat), sea otter, sheep, shark, squirrel, snail, sea turtle, sea slug and sea star, shrimp, salmon, sloth, scarlet macaw, swan, stork, sparrow, swallow, snake.
There are also many spotted, striped and geographical animals such Siberean or Sumatran. Perhaps in this letter among dozens of animals there is any for any creative task.
When should I finish my work?
You work until August 31 and post the finished work on your social media (Instagram, Facebook) with the hashtags #bibabowildmarathon and #bibabowm_2024. Also, please, send me the link to your entry to direct message on socialmedia or to website mail, then we will not miss it.
Deadline is August 31.
You may do several works.
If you can't make it in time, post it later. I will add all entries to the collection, but late entries will not participate in our monthly collage, our wall of honour.
I will put together a general collection which I will publish on September 1. Then we will ruffle the new task. Can you imagine what an encyclopaedia of flora and fauna this will be!
Wild Marathon 2024: results of the fourth game
So, here are the results of the fourth #bibabowildmarathon game for August for the letter C (Latin S).
The letter gave us super opportunities, because out of 32 entries we have more than 20 species of animals, and if you look closely, all 25. And how different and interesting all of them are - thank you all for your participation and such soulful works!
In the leaders we have wonderful dogs - so many different breeds, followed by marvellous pigs and elephants. Among birds, bullfinches and owls are the leaders. And how many other great animals we have here: there are sea lions, meerkats, marmots, snowshoe cats, saturallis snails, urchins and even herring. Birds are also delight: there is a peregrine falcon, a jay, and a siren-breasted jay. And among insects we have a dragonfly, a firefly and two magical butterflies - Saturnia luna and a silver-washed fritillary.
I'm with the firefly this time. Insects are not my thing, but the idea of making a firefly has been on my mind for a long time. I tried different things on it, but I couldn't find the right wings, even though I tried different techniques, so I left it like this for now. Tried new eyes too, not sure yet. All in all, it turned out to be an experimental firefly. That's me reassuring my perfectionist. It's better to do something than nothing. That way you get closer to the desired result.
