In June, in the second game of #bibabowowildmarathon, we got the letter V (Russian B). And again we got a twist - this is the plant-based game!
Quick rules
Once a month, we randomly raffle a letter of the alphabet, to which you must choose from any of our planet's current fauna - from a bug to a whale - according to your tastes. Within a month you have to make a work inspired by this character and post it with the tag #bibabowildmarathon, adding a couple of interesting facts about this animal in the description of the work. Work in any format or technique as long as it's to your liking and suits your creative ideas.
You can see the full rules of the game on the start page of the game (choose the right option from menu on video screen).
Special plant based stage
In this game we have an intriguing twist - this time the work is devoted not to animals, but to plants, as well as fungi and lichens. Ohoho, what a twist! But I can say from last season that the plant stage was one of the most colourful and interesting, because it gives so many opportunities to choose the format of work.
What do we have in V?
Letter V is not the most productive in terms of vegetation, but there are interesting options for realisation.
There are inspirational characters such as Violet, Vine (and Vine grape), Vanilla, Venus flytrap and Amazonian victoria (Victoria). Besides, there are Verbena, Valerian, Veronica, Vinca.
Remember, that you can use the heroes from list with Russian letter B or you can search it in your own language or Latin name. It just has to start with V.
When should I finish my work?
You work until June 30 and post the finished work on your social media (Instagram, Facebook) with the hashtags #bibabowildmarathon and #bwm_2024. Also, please, send me the link to your entry to direct message on socialmedia or to website mail, then we will not miss it.
Deadline is June 30.
You may do several works.
If you can't make it in time, post it later. I will add all entries to the collection, but late entries will not participate in our monthly collage, our wall of honour.
I will put together a general collection which I will publish on July 1. Then we will ruffle the new task. Can you imagine what an encyclopaedia of flora and fauna this will be!

Wild Marathon 2024: results of the second game with plants
Time to summarise the results of the second #bibabowowildmarathon game for June on the letter V (Russian B). The game was again not a usual one, but a plant game, and how great it turned out to be in summer! A riot of colours!
At the moment we have 34 works and more than 15 plant species. If yours is not here, please email me and send me a link to the work. Works submitted after the deadline are also not included in the collage, but will appear in the general collection a little later.
Thank you for such a wonderful stage - so much colour, so much life! I enjoyed looking at your gorgeous plants, even want a separate plant game now.
In this game juicy cherries took the first place with 8 works, followed by a variety of violets, and the incomparable Venus flytrap completes the leaderboard. I was lusting after it myself, but a long-standing cherry idea won out.
Also in our collection are heather, vetiver, veronica, cornflower, oriental poppy, seaweed, vaccinium (blueberry), grape, crow's eye, wreath slipper, valotta and even woolly orange banksia from Australia.
This time I was tossing between different heroes, especially tempting were the toothy Venus flytrap and the giant Amazonian Victoria, but cherries have long been in the plans to replenish my berry basket. Yes, and in general, there are so many happy childhood memories associated with cherries, and this is a strong motivation. So now I have twin cherries!
